Hi!
I am a 31 year old mother of two and a School Direct trainee based in the North East. Books, in my opinion, are the gateway to every world possible and are so important for young minds. I get so much pleasure out of reading and love sharing exciting books with children who will also enjoy them.
This blog aims to review children’s books that I have read and, hopefully, want to share with the children I teach. My particular focus is middle grade/KS2 but I can be persuaded to stray every so often. Kids read up and they read down and as long as they are reading, it makes me happy!
I also hope to share a little bit of my PGCE journey. At this point, I am in the anticipation/nervous phase!
In addition to reading, I love going on adventures with my boys (2 and almost 6 years old, both book lovers), playing piano/flute/guitar/singing, pen-palling and family games nights/escape room games.
